Bandwidth & Connection Requirements #
Bandwidth : 2–3 Mbps is the minimum required for HD quality video, a minimum of 5 Mbps is recommended for smooth, uninterrupted playback.
Group usage : Each additional device in a group adds only ~100 Kbps, so scaling has minimal impact on overall bandwidth. However, it is still recommended that at least a 10 Mbps connection be utilised for devices that are grouped with multiple Video Window instances.
Connection type : A wired (Ethernet) connection is strongly recommended over Wi-Fi to reduce latency, packet loss, and interference for a more stable experience.
Firewall Settings #
When using Video Window (VW), the following ports should be allowed through any firewalls which carry traffic for the involved devices (bidirectional):
| Purpose | Protocol/Port | Source | Destination |
| Video Window Media Servers and Web Servers Communication | TCP 80 TCP 443 UDP 10000 UDP 3478 UDP 3479 UDP 443 | VideoWindow | 129.80.63.62 129.158.40.235 193.122.187.228 141.148.2.207 129.213.182.147 141.148.22.201 129.213.174.220 129.153.45.118 129.159.125.38 129.213.179.231 129.80.52.225 129.159.76.43 129.158.59.60 141.148.6.166 129.80.117.31 129.213.183.140 132.226.133.84 141.147.74.130 132.226.133.210 143.47.238.47 141.147.91.30 152.67.150.165 141.147.119.143 150.230.126.222 150.230.124.130 150.230.122.127 144.21.52.142 143.47.237.135 152.67.150.243 152.67.139.20 130.162.188.25 152.67.140.241 152.67.117.78 192.9.163.32 152.69.160.92 192.9.161.53 152.69.166.128 168.138.105.115 168.138.106.103 192.9.172.0 192.9.161.177 168.138.105.193 192.9.182.103 168.138.101.205 192.9.173.184 152.69.165.167 192.9.173.193 152.69.161.86 |
