Network Requirements

Bandwidth & Connection Requirements #

Bandwidth : 2–3 Mbps is the minimum required for HD quality video, a minimum of 5 Mbps is recommended for smooth, uninterrupted playback.
Group usage : Each additional device in a group adds only ~100 Kbps, so scaling has minimal impact on overall bandwidth.However, it is still recommended that at least a 10 Mbps connection be utilised for devices that are grouped with multiple Video Window instances.
Connection type : A wired (Ethernet) connection is strongly recommended over Wi-Fi to reduce latency, packet loss, and interference for a more stable experience.

Firewall Settings #

Ensure the following ports are open bidirectionally on any firewalls handling traffic for the involved devices (required for Video Window Media Server and Web Server communication):
